Degenerative disease is not inevitable. The body requires a very simple maintenance routine - if you respect the circadian rhythm and make quality food and exercise choices based on what science has taught us about the human metabolism... it's actually very difficult to develop obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and cognitive disorders. Stress management and smart exercise are crucial to health. Approach physical improvement with a holistic view and an eye on balance.

All humans are born with the capacity to be strong, mobile, and pain free. Accepting pain and restriction only leads to problems further down the road and a decreased quality of living. It is not an option to maintain full body strength and joint integrity - it is a responsibility. Education is usually the largest issue here as it is no longer part of our daily lives to move the body through full ranges of motion during normal activities. Even then - we have come a long way when it comes to our understanding of human kinetics. Combining evolutionary movement needs with modern science is the key to maintaining strength and function over the long term.
